Teaching objectives

Certification
The exam is taken online, in English. It is 60 minutes with 40 multiple-choice questions. A score of at least 85% is required to pass.

  • Refresher on agility and the manifesto.
  • Scrum, an empirical process and its values.
  • Ceremonies, collaboration with all team members.
  • The product backlog, definition of done, etc.

Agile product management

  • Product owner, representative of the product vision.
  • Identification of the product’s value.
  • Optimizing ROI (Return on investment) and TCO (Total cost of ownership).
  • Notions of MVP (Minimum viable product) and MMF (Minimum marketable features).
  • Notion of lean UX.
  • Stakeholder relations and business strategy.
Hands-on work
Identifying value elements in a concrete example of a product.

Product owner's management of the product backlog

  • Product backlog content, item types and characteristics.
  • Refining the product backlog with the development team.
  • Definition of needs (user stories).
  • Tools to prioritize the product backlog.
  • Issues that the PO must integrate into the management of the backlog: technical debt, evolutionary architecture, risks.
  • Anticipating needs or risks.
Hands-on work
Story mapping or how to make users' needs emerge. Write user stories with their acceptance criteria. Use different cutting techniques.
